Are those Legacy Oxy employees that took the VSP last year in trouble?

If you were an OXY employee prior to the acquisition, you are legacy OXY. If you were an Anadarko employee prior to the acquisition, you are Legacy Anadarko. If you are a contractor, you would be a Legacy OXY or Anadarko contractor.

How is a Legacy OXY employee defined?

Rumor is that Oxy will layoff 15% of the legacy Oxy in January 2020.

Legacy APC are protected for three years or until August 9 2022. If they want to lay me off and pay me the COC I am just fine with that!

CoC triggers extend beyond Aug. 9, 2020. That date is only expiration date for CoC relative to change in work location beyond 25 miles.

There will be a reorg on Aug 9 2020 after the CoC triggers are out of play.

You seriously don’t know what’s going to happen to WES? You should probably take VSP or COC if you’re eligible because it’s clear you’re out of the loop. The writing is on the wall internally not to mention all of the public articles. WES is being spun off as an independent company and will be sold as soon as Oxy can get the price they want.

Can only hope. The people deserve it and it would only be karma acting out in terms of a START in terms of payback.

Since you posted this same question on every O&G thread on theLayoff.com, I assume you're a reporter. Why do you think there's factual information about the FUTURE on this website? Only the decision-makers know the FUTURE, and they're certainly not going to post that information here. Do you work for the National Enquirer, or worse, for the Houston Chronicle?

Yes, and, as others have mentioned, the majority of the burden will fall on the poor Oxy saps. Many of whom have already watched their 401k’s lose tremendous value because the poor blokes never opted out of the default match.
