The national level is content with being weak. As the jobs continue to go they will just merge with another union to get their money in the coming years. The UTU is already connected to sheet metal and I’m pretty sure they have nothing to do with each other in trade knowledge. Maybe the UTU will merge with the UAW then they will find a way to strike, after the jobs are already gone.

I think union violence and intimidating needs to become non-punishable and common place to level up the playing field with corporate fat cats. But seeing as their money influences politics, we are so screwed, beast into submission and scared. Just happy that they still feed us once in a while.

We sure can strike. Yes they will order us back to work. However if we strike all 5 class one railroads at the same time for one hour. It would cripple the nation. We would definitely get our point a cross

We are not allowed to strike. That is why we haven't striked. They know this and this is why they can do this. They just put plenty of people on start serious yesterday...to help curb the idea of a senior skip day aswell.
