The latest circulating rumor - the board is tired of paying all of the severance packages. The company doesn’t necessarily have to give people a reason why they are being cut, but doesn’t the severance help buffer the lawsuits? I would assume they won’t touch the severance packages coming out in fourth quarter 2019.

I took my severance, went to Von Maur, bought myself some nice Louboutin boots, and broke that heel off in Beth’s fat as$. F– em all! Good riddance.
They’re not tired of paying severance packages. Each one they pay means they’re cutting an employee and mitigating a lawsuit. Go back in the rumor store and pick another one and this time don’t go fishing in the dollar bin you cheap b–tard.
The severance basically says you give up rights by taking the money. It’s a cheap investment in lawsuit prevention by the board. Unless they’re complete id–ts (instead of regular old id–ts), they’d be smart to keep paying severance for non-agreement.
I suspect severance has been good medicine for the wound, that kept a few from flipping their lid and doing something stupid as well...
Tired of paying severance packages to loyal hardworking people while they collect millions?
