Thread regarding Synamedia layoffs

It has gotten better.

Layoffs have been frozen and we are now hiring again in the US and Canada. I was being asked to cut a couple people from my team but that is no longer the case.

Fmzh that’s an ostrich response. I guess you’re in or near to product development . One of the biggest problems you have is there is little or no connection between you and customers. The product is basically 5hit. Customers don’t need or want it. It can’t be deployed and it doesn’t work. Blaming sales for your shoddy work is embarrassing.
Or maybe you’re right. Maybe the product has always been amazing and now that finally sales have achieved “competency” everything will be alright. Yes, you keep believing that until the lights go off.

Do you think that the financial position of the company has actually got better?
Or are you just experiencing the short term pleasure where, for no good reason, the company has decided to put a brief delay in for some layoffs?
