Just visited The Dalles, Oregon Kmart which is closing, on the bottom of the receipt it says something along the lines of, “we regret closing this store, there are still many Kmart stores in your area to serve you. “ when we closed my store last year in Portland we still had a few kmarts so it made sense to have that tag line, now that they are closing the LAST Kmart in Oregon, I don’t think it makes sense to say that anymore lol.

That’s funny, just take a quick drive up to Burlington for a Kmart shopping trip. We can pretend like we live on a farm on Walton’s mountain, “are we goin to town pa” lol
I just dug out my receipt from the liquidating Kmart in Somerville, MA, where I shopped on October 21. The receipt says:
We regret having to close this Kmart location. We appreciate your business and want to reassure you that Kmart savings are here to stay.
There are several Kmart locations in this area for your convenience.
We're Open. You're Saving!
To find your nearest Kmart location, call 1-800-866-0086 or visit us at www.kmart.com
Thank you for continuing to shop Kmart
The Somerville Kmart closed permanently on November 17. But if you call that 800 number today and enter 02144 as your zip code, it will still list that store first, as if it were still open.
I'm sure customers will be willing to drive up to Burlington for their Kmart shopping needs. It's only a few hours away!
That verbage has been on receipts since they were closing stores back in the 2002/2003 bankruptcy...likely the last time the cash registers were updated too.
I'm sure the employee that was responsible for changing the tag li e on the receipts no longer works for Transformco.
@1hbs The company became clueless when Eddie put himself in charge.
Shows you how clueless and stupid this company really is.
They put the same message on the receipt of the Hollywood Florida Kmart. The next kmart is 1 and a half hour's away. Who would drive that far!
