Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Hey Marvin: Where are the "BEST" eos scores? Just wondering...

lol EOS isnt a referendum on anyone in the store. how the hell are you suppose to have a great score while having no ability to run your store because corporate keeps making moves that the associates hate. if you could get corporate hands out of everything then maybe you could judge individual positions and their ability to run their teams.

Once we got an 82. Highest in region and third best in company. During the remainder of that year corporate cut psi, effectively stopped celebration lunches, laid off LP, eliminated hr in store, and capped salary for many positions. During that time they also cut management positions.
The next year they didn’t tell us our scores.

EOS is a referendum on the store manager. Below 50 then you need a new one.

I heard we had a 53 last year, which was own from the year before.
But, our store makes its sales numbers, so no meaningful changes.

The store managers definitely have them but if they’re not talking about them then you know they were awful. The morale at the stores is at an all time low and the company knows it. It’s not a shock either. This company is coming apart at the store level but as far as the stock market is concerned it’s all good.

The company can’t fill the vacancies they have and every decision they make just worsens the situation. I’ve worked for this company longer than I dare admit and I’m done. I’ve had it. Lowe’s isn’t worth the misery. This place now has the same reputation that Walmart has.

Three years ago we had a 51 and our store manager was replaced. No idea what the scores were the past two years; I was told by an asm, who left Lowe’s, that one year it was 47. They did away with our voice team a year ago.

we got a 68 and the asm who told me said we did a lot better than the rest of district. abysmal.

Really, who gives a c-ap about EOS? Does it put more dollars in your paycheck. Hell No! If employees were happy, they would not need EOS. The corporate low IQ thinkers, McFarland. Just prior to the morning Rah, Rah LOWES, we were told hours are to be cut on days and night crews. WTF Marv. Epic FAIL Again. Freight all over the floor. Deliveries are mess. And good luck finding an override. Gapping floor coverage. Marv does not want to trickle down his 14 Mil in compensation. To bad The Hedge Funds were not able to acquire a CEO with financial sense. Instead they opted for an SJW BRG employee segregationist. Tell me again how that puts cash into the bottom line?

We will be having a "Town Hall" to fix the "issues". Play it again Sam.....Accountability , cross training, communication , recognizing associates for doing their job. Never has anything to do with Layoffs, schedule changes, doing the job 3rd parties are supposed to do, "grandfathered" spiff removal...etc...Corporate says "we're making this change". Regional say's "no problem I'll send it down to Market". Market says "Store, just do it". Store fumbles through, numbers look good to the way market reads them, Regional tells corporate " Thank you, may I have another". Honestly, I'm not sure how much "truth" I would tell Corp if I was at a higher level, these people are well aware they would just be replaced.

Ours were so bad the past two years that they didn’t post them. A year ago they disbanded the voice team at my store.

It's the same every year, they harasss you to take the survey, then blame you for the results, nothing changes and we do it over and over and over again.

They were sent out to managers last week. I know in my store some of the managers could view them and some were having issues with the link sent to them. If anyone is keeping them from you it’s at a store level. But there was also a timeline given of steps to take with the scores so maybe they’re just following that.
