A little birdy friend of mine who works for cross country home warranty told me they had a meeting on Monday and had overheard talk of ongoing negotiations with Transformco about purchasing A&E. This would be good I guess for some as most would be canned immediately I would imagine.

Honestly it'd be nice to get out from under Sears and not have upper management actively pushing stupid mandates that ensure customer dissatisfaction.
A&E should fire every damn Manager they have!
None of them at my branch, EGV, are technicians but they act as if they are.
Just number people and pushing techs to either quitting or just not giving a damn.
Cross Country has been trying to work something out with Eddie for over a year now.
It would benefit them since A/E is already in place and operating, as opposed to them trying to enter into the actual business of doing their own work. A/E has its flaws but the fact of the matter is that it is already up and running. The only thing CC would need to do take over and start to implement the things they want to change.
They aren't the only ones looking at taking up A/E, they're just the only ones that Eddie has seriously been pitching it to.
Is anyone with A&E actually worried about finding work? I think everyone still around is just too lazy to look or give up their laptop and van.
I don't see the benefit maybe the contract portfolio. But the brand name and technicians are tainted
Why would anyone besides Eddie be dumb enough to can A&E? Sears is still the largest home services network in the nation and ready to go techs, despite the fact that it can't get parts, has aging equipment, and has scheduling policies directed by r—ds. Managed by competent people who can find their own a–holes, the value would quadruple overnight.
