Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Lay me off already!

I want out of this mess. The only reason I'm still here is because I'm waiting for severance.

Quit already! The company does not owe you anything (including a severance) with that attitude!!!!

Does your location do "monitored performance" or "performance improvement?" If so you might find yourself out of a job without any messy severance package.

L3Harris technologies employees 50,000 workers. Too many for this company... Also, they are based in 700 locations across the country. Again, too many. All they can do is to lay off workers and close sites. Management doesn't have visionaries or innovators - only P&L managers. Even if you look at their management record all that they did was layoffs and divestitures.

Good luck. Getting fired is easy. Quitting is easier. Getting laid off requires some tricky navigation. And it does involve adopting a conspicuously annoying personality. If you're not willing to do this, then be prepared to work there forever.

Managers who micromanage simply don't know how to manage. These types of managers should be let go since they don't trust the professional knowledgeable experienced people that work under them. A good manager should listen, help, trust, and guide the employee.

What about getting someone fired? Someone with a similar name to our beloved CEO is a manager at CSW. I hear horror stories about him daily it seems, and I'm not even in their area. It's id–ts like DB that will destroy this company faster than anyone at the corporate level can. If any higher ups read this, don't give the person more power if you want any chance of success at CSW! Even my manager doesn't want to work for him. No one does! DB if you read this, pull your head out of your a– and realize that micromanaging pisses everyone off. Your team hates your management style so much it's spread through the company. Learn to make people want to come to work rather than run from it before it's too late.

What was the old severance package and what will be the new severance package?

For L3 (L-3, L3T) it probably varied by division. One week per year of employment up to 26 weeks was the policy at some places. Sometimes they would offer a 'sweetened' deal to attract volunteers.

Plus all the boxes you needed :)

Far as severance goes have you checked out the new 2020 L3Harris benefits policy on that? Is it even even going to be offered with the newly merged company? It is with your legacy company but now...? Very scary if it's not available anymore in the new year. Let's hope that isn't the case.

Don't wait around till the layoff, go out and find that new job before the opportunity goes away, jump off the sinking ship as fast as you can!
