We got a new DMSM about a year ago who sits home all day and forwards emails and degrades everyone....anyone else have this.

We had one of those product protection plan cheerleaders come to our store in August. One and only time he came. He talked about why everyone needed a protection plan with every appliance sold. It was a half hour of my life I’m not getting back.
I just noticed on my LinkedIn feed there is a “regional protection plan manager” position now. All he/she evidently does is go around and cheerlead for appliance folks to sell more LPP’s. My question is, does every region really have this position or do RVP’s simply get extra payroll dollars to play around with and create these stupid, unnecessary jobs that actually s— up payroll that could be put to much better use in our stores?
I believe DMSM stands for District Merchandising Service Manager. Who knows what their job description actually is. One thing I will say for Lowe's... they excel at coming up with catchy acronyms for positions that will likely be eliminated, merged or transformed in the future. Guess it's less personal when you k–l off an acronym. LOL
They just have no idea what we do or how we do it....you cant manage something you dont know.
