You are paying dues and in good standing. The reality is your representation is at an all time low with unqualified representatives. The Unions are in bed and taking the company sausage and enjoying it.
Demand better treatment other than paying your dues on time with absolutely no guidance when the sh– hits the fan and it will hit the fan sooner than later.

Mr let me educate you. You sound like a brilliant mind. You are exactly what this guy is probably talking about. Not to mention I dont think manpower was mentioned just representation. About the only thing I've noticed what a union does is keep track of seniority. I've never had a claim paid and definitely never been represented by anybody in an investigation that knew more than you which is scary. Try to explain how the union protects me . The you should quit remark definitely shows you fell short of a GED
Your right unions don't tell company how many employees they need but our management are so unprofessional towards employees and that's when u expect a rep to put them in place and he fails to do so...UP MANAGERS are a bunch of trained bullies!!
Let me educate you, unions cannot dictate the number of employees the company wants. The company decides how many people they want , and the union fills it. Unions are also there to protect your rights as a worker, and your rep is defending the contract not your opinion, if you don't agree with it, Quit
Most of the red states (Republican) states are right to work states which means you’re not required to pay union dues. Another option is to go into a non union job (management job) within the company,
Go to a real Union on the outside. Its a night and day difference. They pull union cards for those useless individuals that make the union look bad to keep the union strong. They offer great training, pay and benefits.They are a true brotherhood. Dont settle for the fake ones at UP. #REaLTalK

We the members are the union’s. If we stick together collectively we improve our lot. That doesn’t mean the company can’t lay us off. It just means if they want us they take us at the agreed upon price. We are better off with Union’s and sticking together. Look at the average manufacturing wage for your area. And if you don’t agree, go get one of those non union jobs.
