Thread regarding Sears layoffs

When is new Spring merchandise coming in?

Anyone that's works at HE knows if we will actually receive anything for the Spring? So far no sign of patio, lawn mowers, apparel, etc for the spring.

I work with an overstock liquidator and we've received endless pallets that Sears hasn't paid for this year, women's clothing in particular. That's where spring merchandise has ended up.

We still had buyers six months ago, borrowed money, and new foreign vendors ignorant enough to be unaware what a sh–show Sears/Kmart have become. What's trickling now in now is from that, plus whatever orders buyers made in advance that people have no idea when it's coming in because people have been let go, it just shows up.

There is no inventory coming.. are you crazy? Who's going to pay for it? Sears won't be functioning by spring anyway. We will see to this for sure!

Question where is this merchandise coming from? Since we still have trucks that come in once a week from the distribution center. Just wondering.

Today another UPS shipment with more pjs, surplus jackets, and random but regular fall/winter clothing. Nothing spring or tools/garden accessories. Probably clearing out the warehouse for the liquidation signs.

New products coming in slowly. It will turn around. Takes time and trust.

Word has gotten around about the stiffed Sears vendors. That's why senior management is having difficult time trying to secure suppliers for the stores. It's cash upfront or nothing.

What's going to happen after all of the fall and winter is shipped to the stores? My bet is that he will buy from cheap vendors c-appy clothing until he finally k–ls of sears.

You're joking right? The supplier situation is so pathetic that Eddie had to close 100 stores, and still didn't have the inventory to take most of them to the weekend before Christmas.
