Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Another roll-out, another failure.

So, here is yer ANOTHER roll out w/ zero communication or training to associates. I found this by doing a Google search for "current Lowe's news".

Its a good idea, and might bring new Pro customers. Thats the plus. But, Marv removed the Pickup Desk, and in our store, we are so short staffed that no one currently is even pulling basic online orders.
The customers we have NOW, are completely frustrated by lack of service for internet orders.

Most times, pick tickets are handed from one associate, to another, then left on desks unfullfilled. We simply have no staff to do it.

We also have no training, or direction on the process. No staging area or resources to seamlessly process these orders.

Its business as usual with Lowe's. Roll out after roll out with no prior thought process on how to v=better serve the customer or provide proper resources to see this new roll out implemented.

Marv & co only think like sick animals. Perceptual level clowns, who must believe they can fix "glitches" after the fact. Good business model clowns.

I am still waiting for these dippy sh–s to get ONE thing right.

Yep, Marvin is doing his best to drive experience out the door. So 6 plus years of experience today was my last day. 10 hour days with one off in a row🤬

Don't know how wide spread the roll out was but our market and some of the surrounding ones were transitioned several months ago from in-house box truck delivery to third party (XPO) and cross dock (XDT) delivery service. Damn near a complete disaster and no communication as to how they intend on fixing all the problems it has created. Customer care issues have increased exponentially. Having more and more customers swearing they will never shop at Lowe's again, including some of our coveted commercial customers. Increasing fearful that this is going to be the new norm for Lowe's.

Additionally, I was told by store management that appliance sales in our store were down over a half million and that was two months ago. Told Store manager in mid Nov that our servicing ADC (Appliance Distribution Center) was out of practically every refrigerator that we have on our showroom floor and we are now being told by order replenishment that many models are not expected to out of the "negative" till February. Customers that we owe product to are livid and sales continue to plummet! Apparently corporate is forgetting where our money comes from. Apparently corporate is of the belief that at Lowe's we sell stock and not services/merchandise. If I had to guess corporate is playing some sick intentional low inventory game to make the company's books look good for the investors while giving the store associates and our valued customers the middle finger.

We already know the associates are feeling the pain of corporate decisions but our customer's are feeling it now too. Don't know how much longer I can continue to work for a company who's top tier apparently only cares about stock price. We are watching the company that many of use have worked tirelessly for over the years (well into the teens for me) being systematically torn apart from the top. Very sad.

Just another Epic Fail. Historically every new rollout program has Failed. The worst failure is coming 01/31/20. Marv does not honor employees for experience/longevity. And out the door we go. Zero infrastructure has changed for the stores. 18 months later same c-ap, another day. Marv is a self-entitled politician.
