Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Happy New year

Several people in Lewisville, all rebadged, received their 60 day notice today. More to come. Finally the end is in sight, no more waiting. I hear there's life after X! Won't miss working for HCL at all!

Any indication of which teams or groups were affected?

Lewisville COE has never been closed... you may be thinking of the very old Las Colinas office.

I wouldn't expect them to extend for any length of time beyond the 60 days. I received my 60 Day notice 11/15/19, saying my last day would be 1/17/2020. Yesterday I received the 2 week notice once again stating my official last day is indeed 1/17/2020. It did indicate I will get the 12 week severance, but with nothing for unused vacation. I was a Presales / install analyst for Xerox for a couple of decades.

While that may have been true in the past, they seem to be living up to the date with no extensions - workload be danged.

I thought the Lewisville Center closed down many years ago. Didnt know there was anyone left.
Dont get too excited as the end might not be as near as you think. The 60 days is just a process they go through and not official last day. You could be extended for many months unless your job was something easy that they catch on to quick.
