That's odd, the post about the Walmat exit date was deleted.

What I am getting at is no DSD company is “too large” to exit the business. Sure, maybe Nestle’s DSD business was restricted to frozen, but I’m talking about Nestle as a whole. There is a nestle product in essentially every single store aisle and has been getting filled by store employees since the beginning of time. No matter how you look at it, it’s not hard for retailers to hire more bodies to stock the same exact things we already do. It’s just not a sustainable model no matter what company it is. I’ve ran into and talked to Nestle workers before they exited and said the same things we say, how the writing was on the wall the whole time and as much as they tried to ignore the signs and rumors they ended up being true. Workers got raises and bonuses a month before they announced. All I’m saying is DSD is a shaky model and it’s just best to not get too comfortable that’s all

Uh? Dsd was a very small portion of Nestle's business. Also, kind of hard to expand when you are limited to freezers with frozen pizza and ice cream. Kraft? Mondelez used to be Kraft. Not sure what you are getting at here.

For those saying “we’re too big to exit DSD/too many SKU’s” tell that to Nestle and Kraft Heinz. DSD is old news, everybody knows this.

Oh look, more part timers that are fear mongering and building conspiracy theories. No one has any clue and the only arguement I keep hearing is "writing on the wall." As if that is some sort of proper argument or proof of anything.

Those managers that they want to save will be moved onto customer business teams, rest will be left out to dry! Our DM has been in role for 10 plus years, they will go down with the ship! If they don’t move you within a certain time frame you are dead meat to them! Often leaves these managers bitter and horrible to work with! Such is he case with ours! We don’t call them before noon so as not to wake them up! 🥴.

Senior dad managers are getting into their life boats. They see the iceberg ahead.

Some people have a very limited understanding of the overall business and as a result trust senior leadership. That’s unfortunate since for those who have been with the organization, and prior organizations under this same leadership, we know they don’t always tell the full truth. Their commitment is to Mondelez, not to their employees. If you look at any hiring site you will see the amount of turnover that occurs, which is very telling!
We’ve been told before things were great and no downsizings, and then three months later they let go of 1/3 sales force in the US. Management will only tell you what they want you to hear! People need to be smart and look at the whole picture, which is right before their eyes!! The writing could not be anymore glaring!! This “new DSD” is simply the companies way of explaining the transition to warehouse, while trying to retain as many employees as possible! They are on the hook for DSD till the end, and Keebler had to spend a lot of money in incentives to maintain DSD till the end.
The longer Mondelez management waits to tell us, the less expensive it will be for them! Training and hiring cost money!
Don’t let them fool you!! They simply don’t care! Ask a lot of questions and don’t settle for answers you know are not true!

You sound sort of defensive? Profitability is what this is about, not sales! Imagine how much more profit can be made of for each sku sold at retail, had a higher profit margin! This may be over your head?
Bottom line is.....retailers care about their profitability, not our sales!!
Brace yourself for impact, warehouse is coming soon, very soon!
Those tears next year won’t be tears of joy 🤣

Not sure about 20 years away. Probably about 5 to 10 years away. We're too big to completely exit DSD. Way too many SKU's to go warehouse at this time

No, it’s not ever going to be announced on a town hall meeting! Never have and never will announce a lay-off that way! That’s BS! Discount that post, that person has no clue!
It WILL be shared on a conference call by region, Skippy at the helm. An announce will come the day prior!!
It won’t be long!

I can tell you better.....when they have to tell you! People have thrown premature dates out there and the fact is, nobody knows the timeline enough to narrow down a specific date. We sure do know the business enough to throw out the fact that dsd is ending, and very soon!
New dsd my butt! Nice try! The new dsd is called warehouse!! Just setting up for the transition!
