From what I hear, another round of RIF's is coming the week of 1/20/20. I think it's a pay week. They are going to keep those RIF's going with a small number at a time during 2020 to avoid WARN notices.

Has anyone heard anymore regarding the RIF's for the week of Jan 20
One of our beloved senior managers is being let go. Found out today. He is the head of the pricing team. Almost impossible to find a senior executive level person like him now. May be the last of his breed. (Because he is not a new import). Initially shocked, but what else is new here? All who know him are sad. Truly remarkable what they do here. Not just this company - almost everywhere you turn, this is the story.
What cost savings? This is just robbery in daylight. All the savings from cheap labor from India and Philippines and younger people are going to the top. I don’t believe anything that an employee does can be worth that much to draw millions in salaries and bonus, ‘CEO’ or not. How many regimes have we seen here come and go. What did all the millions do? The consultants and the new leadership keep on rotating and mining this company dry. The top just congratulate each other on Contact, like the Hollywood award shows. At least there some do provide good entertainment.
These guys are worth nothing. I bet they think they are so smart they found a way to milk this company. I wouldn’t want to be them though, how it must s— to be one of them - having to grovel to one another, to pretend to know stuff, to learn from the ones below, to speak to the audience without substance, to rely only on the fear of the audience. They will never know the true satisfaction of a job well done. True appreciation given by others voluntarily. Slimy, empty beings!!
These boards certainly have been active recently... with all of these posts, does anyone have updates on any layoffs this pay period?
The way management knows how to run this company is to keep on hiring consultants and more of their buddies for a senior management position. Their solution is to keep RIFing employees and pile the work up for other employees. Yes and hire more Senior Management. Look out for the next pay period, on the Tuesday. More RIF's to come.
It's OK, they're bringing in Accenture folks now. They know all that ails AIG. Just like McKinsey has for years and fed at the trough. If management cant figure out how to run this company, then maybe they should let consultants run it and RIF themselves.
Performance Evaluations used to be done in the following calendar year. However they have moved them so they would be done by the beginning of the calendar year so they could fire a certain amount of employees without having to pay them severance or sti. More RIF's will continue and then some will be fired and then another big wave off RIF's in April/May and small ones until Oct.
This is No news... this has been happening every Qtr for like 8 years now LOL... might as well add that we’ll hire another Sr. Manager next Qtr too 😉...

Can someone please add me to the list. I need a RIF badly. I just can't do this any much longer. Please PZ, just RIF everyone below pay grade 24 and do us all a favor. I beg you. Think of the money you will save! Just farm everything thing out to third party vendors. Please....
