Call for DLs to stop stealing payroll

DLs,

If you are removing hours from your FS or RX teams to fund a 40 hour per week Admin or Inventory Specialist or any other position...you need to stop! What you are doing is wrong!

It doesnt matter whether you have asked corporate to remove them behind the scenes or are just forcing your teams to be under...you are stealing from your teams and it is wrong and you should be ashamed of yourselves!

Corporate has not created a district inventory specialist position and they give you a small number of hours for your admin and they expect you to be able to do 90% of what you claim to need an admin for.

You may think that what you are taking whether it is 1, 3, 5 or 10 hrs is not a lot but considering the cuts that have come down, you are k–ling us. You want PCQ calls to be quality...maybe those hours you are stealing could help. You want stores perfectly straightened...maybe those hours could help.

I get that the inventory specialist is doing monthly returns but even at 1 hr per week...is that person really spending 4 hrs in a store every month doing a return? If they are, they should be more productive. If not...well then what are they doing because the only thing I can think is time fraud. If it is 3 or 4 hours per week have you thought that giving that back could allow your pharmacy teams to bring someone in on Saturdays to just focus on PCQ calls uninterrupted? And then FS wouldnt have to be back there which would mean they could get more done.

I am going to stop here but those of you that think taking hours from your stores already low budgets so that you dont have to do administrative work or whatever justification you have, it is wrong and messed up. Why dont you let your admin work 7 hrs per week and do the rest and get a sampling of what your stores are doing day in and day out. Why don't you follow up on returns execution on visits or are you not even doing those?

Point made...stop stealing from your stores. It is destroying morale, it is wrong and you should be better than that. And I know not necessarily all DLs are doing this so to those that arent...thank you for showing us respect.

Admins are worth every hour if they are good . Ours is worth her weight in gold. They don't have easy jobs look at her calendar and her schedule if you ever get a chance. You don't want that job

As a Scheduler for 2 districts covering 38 stores and 100 plus pharmacists, I never have a moment of down time. I am as busy in my role as when I was a technician in the pharmacy. I do schedules, payroll, coordinate vacation requests and coverage, mentor pharmacy managers on mySchedule practices, reconcile tech payroll and numerous other duties. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure there are bad actors out there. I am sure there are under utilized employees. Do not fall into the trap of thinking you understand another employee’s workload or burden. Moreover, make sure you have the facts when dishing out your judgement or you risk looking misguided and foolish.

Our admin's hours are charged to each store on a rotating week. meaning one store pays for the hours one week, then the next store the next, and so on. We don't eat the hours, we are allowed to be over

As the original poster said I don’t believe this was directed at all DL’s. Just the DL’s that are stealing payroll from their stores just to have their own admin, scheduler & district inventory specialist etc. 120 hours a week of payroll when that could easily be 30 hours a week per district and reinvest those hours into stores. Why don’t admins and schedulers have to clock in and out? Company policy says they have to record their time. How many admins, schedulers etc are engaging in time fraud while sub-minimum hour stores can’t even have 2 people at all times in the building? If the company wants to keep cutting hours they need to start looking at how some DL’s are stealing payroll from their already struggling stores. Food for thought!

DL here. I hope you guys know that we have absolutely no say or even influence on the payroll budgets your stores/pharmacies are provided. If this was the case you’d all be running on unlimited payroll. Remember, we’re on the same team.

The RL encourages dL to find admins etc. big issue is not enough hours to operate stores. MAybe JR will fix.

The admins fall into the same category as shift supervisors here.

In my area lead tech and admins have the same pay scale and cap.

The admin position is funded 7 hours per district by corporate. 7 hours. Not 40. There are DLs that take anywhere from 1-15 hours per store for admins and still expect the stores to come in at demand. How many admins are coded as lead techs so they can be paid more than the cap for admins?

Lol if they have that to Crossmark they’d slash hours so much we were wishing that idea had never been brought up.

Do you know what I suggest in 2020? On all planograms, received each week, with our overstocked AD signs from the print shop, turn them over instead to a third party, such as Crossmark, who are assigned to come into stores, and do the dumbest things, for a short period of time.

If you allow Crossmark to do our chores, then we could all concentrate on CarePass......right?

What the f— is a district inventory specialist, someone who does physical inventories? I've never seen one that wasn't just extra hours on top of demand for that week because THAT'S WHAT THE PREP PACKET SAYS TO DO.

If you have a DL that has someone going around doing monthly inventory returns that's a YOU problem because that doesn't exist anywhere else.

Also, DL admins are funded positions. They have to share one, but it's a funded positions by corporate.

My DL charges us between 2-3 hrs a week for our admin but we are allowed to be over by that amount. He doesn’t tell us we have to be under to give hours to the admin.
