I think the locomotive mechanical department laborers/MSO's will be next. Electricians or machinists will do the hostling etc.
They are trying to bust the unions! If all the foreman go non agreement then no need for Arasa. Which union will they try to k–l next? They want only contractors on the property! Less money and less liability! Our unions need to get their sh_t together or they'll be gone just like us!
For the foreman that take the manager jobs that replace them, what kinda of pay will they be getting and don’t they get another week of vacation for going non agreement? The 401k is like supposed to be top notch. With that being said. There is gonna be a lot of foreman brushing up on their interview skills.! Am I right?
I still believe that if executives get their way, and we are totally replaced by contractors, staffed with low wage employees, are going to experience much difficulty trying to run the railroad 24/7/365. The only reason I have put up with the BS, c-appy hours, c-appy rest days, c-appy vacations, dirty, nasty, stinky, horrible weather and working conditions is because of the pay and benefits. Time will tell.
Pork belly said it’s true!
