"There were an estimated 50,413 (95% CI: 46,333–54,492; Table 1) avocado-related knife injuries from 1998 to 2017. The incidence of these injuries rose over time, from an estimated 3143 cases between 1998 and 2002 to 27,059 cases between 2013 and 2017"

"The incidence has risen significantly in recent years, possibly due to an increased consumption of avocados in the United States...and mean Whole Foods Market TL's making poor Tm's do the job they get paid $15/hr or more to do."

Side note, we have to wear goggles while making bales now.

My store has been comping in the red for almost a year. Nothing happy about that.

I'm just guessing that cutting half ripe avocados over time will lead to long term disability.

Half the team!? What random string of coincidences happened to cause that?

We lost half our team today. This is beyond anything I’ve ever seen ☹️

Move to another job; take the phrase "our boss wants Guacamole everyday" and exchange the word Avocado with literally anything else your boss could want at any the other job and you will be complaining about that instead of avocados. "My boss wants the TPS report everyday but there's no toner in the printer...My boss wants a baby giraffe but only gives us adult males to breed with" You won't be happy anywhere. Become the boss or learn to be happy. Your boss has a boss that is telling them they can only order avocados on certain days and only so many. They don't have a choice if it's ripe or not. We order them not yet ripe so they have time to sit on the shelf and become ripe for the customers that pay exorbitant amounts for them. Making guacamole may be the easiest $15/hr job on earth. I could do it without avocados! I can't think of a single easier food to produce...toast? Watch out, you might burn yourself. Side note, did you know that 8900 people went to the emergency room in 2019 from failing to slice avocados without cutting themselves? This is why we need cut gloves and why we should hire smarter people.

Our produce leadership team wants guacamole everyday. Even when the avocados aren't ripe. I guess they want us to cripple ourselves just so that they look good. Why won't they order ripe ones for us? How evil is that.

After almost 20 years, 17 of which were pretty cool, the sadness and loss of what was, got to be too much. Watching many great friends leave slowly over the last few years, the days were not happy any more. When I realized I was having to care less to survive, I knew it was time to go. Whole Foods has been gone for quite a while. It is nothing special anymore, if anything they have become what they always used to say they were against. I will always be grateful for my years with people who really cared. I left last year, it was finally too much to bear. I still have family working there in 2 states. I wish them well but they will never have the great time with the company I had. Screw you Jeff Bezos!

We keep loosing team members that are replaced with new team members that don’t stay long. So, I guess the answer is NO.

Nobody is happy there anymore, The store is nothing like it used to be , seems like they're just out to get the people making high dollars so Amazon can bring everybody in at $15 an hour
