Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

CSW being sold off?

heard a rumor last week that CSW was going to be divested (AKA closed, sold off, or moved/ consollidated) by being sold. each time we get a new CFO we get layoffs pension cuts/ removal and silly placation.

Our Fearless leader was in big trouble with the corp goons last month for not meeting the quota so i guess its possible. I dont know if billable hours bailed us out this time or not. everytime we loose a piece of manufacturing and farm it out we loose capability and control. This makes us vunerable to market trends but hey it makes the CFO look good.

How can we fight this??

We aren’t being spun off or sold. The division is a cash cow for the company both in sales and profit revenue.

Regarding “farming it out” we do that to keep our prices low, our rates are very high because of the large population of engineers and PMs. It’s a byproduct of our labor mix.

Is this going to get better? I don’t think so, not until the assimilation is complete and we drink the koolaid along with everybody else.

what does it mean to "Farm it out"? What takes place when a company "Farms something out"?

Kinda like when you "Buy the Farm"

Does that mean they send it to the Farm? Why is the word "Farm" even part of that phrase?

Just a rumor until it is confirmed.
