I was laid off on October 5 i signed the agreement but how long does it take to get the severance pay ?
HR said between November 15 and 29 I should receive it...
And how is it paid ? Direct deposit or check? 45 days seems a bit much to wait...

Call HR Direct to ensure they have what they need. I was informed of lay-off 10.4, with last day of 10.16. I emailed the severance agreement on 10.16. I was told 2-3 pay periods to receive severance. After the 3rd pay period with nothing, I called HR Direct to see what was up. I was told they had only received last 2 pages of agreement. I resent agreement and was paid the next pay date. Don’t count on HR to look out for you. Keep calling.
Other companies pay sooner. They are not required to wait, but they choose to.
I believe the 45 day wait is because of the severance agreement rescind period. That has to pass before they can pay severance.
