they should close the Delaware City refinery. All of the explosions, fires, and rusted units cost along of money and bad reputation for the company. Id be all for moving Delaware city refinery work too another location. Its a very unsafe plant too work at!!

LC and JG1 are the target for,the current redundancy exercise. RDS remains too top heavy with little go forward justification to keep all of these high earners.

Next wave will push these folks out and further flatten the org

JG 1 and letter may be safer than most, but from what I have seen over past 5 years 2 and 3 are not.

Most of the ppl laid off since 2013 are the ppl that actually do the work, hardly any managers, especially in IT.

The sale of Martinez refinery was the final sign of the suspected outcome, soon as possible there will be no oil refining operations in the U.S. I'm sure that Anacortes is being shopped around. That will leave just the 50% stake in Deer Park and the refinery on the Mississippi near New Orleans. Would make sense for PBF to buy it Anacortes too as they have nothing in the PNW and claim they to want to be a coast to coast player. Shell has unloaded many refineries around the world over the past 10 years all part of a sharp shift to natural gas and cleaner energy. If your role is tied to the refineries or supply of branded outlets, look for an alternative.

I know SPLC plans to reduce opex by $100 million in 2020. That's a huge cost reduction. Do you think staff will be laid off? So much for the "stability" in midstream!!

What are your thoughts on Houston - EP Center Americas team delivering offshore and onshore projects in support of SPLC’s pipeline and terminal assets. Any rumors regarding layoffs?

also rumored that 5 northeast refined products terminals will be sold, possibly to Buckeye pipeline. I have heard this in the past, but a reliable source in Houston has confirmed that this again might be a reality.

The company wants out of the refining business in the US. They are moving to chemicals and energy. If your job is tied to refining, times up....
