Does anyone have any information on this after hours meeting.

Ours was the same old same old; stale bagels and muffins with warm orange juice. Technology didn’t work so we couldn’t be inspired by mcfire’ems message. Only department recognized was the front end, nothing about the associates and departments that respond to the constant code 3’s and code 50’s. And we had the same college students call off again this weekend; they will be complaining about not getting any hours.
It is not mandatory. Those of us that had our only weekend off in 8 weeks did not go today.
Served literally the cheapest Walmart brand eggs, muffins, and rolls. Gave away toilet paper, paper towels, empty gift card boxes and so on. And not to mention only to sales associates. Did not even acknowledge the back end, delivery team, or overnight crew. NOT EVEN A THANK YOU! Unbelievable.
Stores have had the option of 12/8 or 12/15, am or pm. We will be doing 12/15 am with full hot breakfast and shenanigans. The business will be handled quickly and the rest is fun for all. It’s a really good morale booster with tons of raffled gifts and prizes!
The last two years our EOS scores were so bad they ignored them and didn’t even post them. I expect this year to be no different.
EOS RESULTS. I am sure they will review then say how they will make everything better
Four a year now per Store Manager. He is not sure yet if we will be doing the normal 6 am meeting or an evening meeting. He is leaning towards keeping it in the AM. We just have the date listed on the flyer in the break room no time listed.
Back when I was taking personnel management classes, the professor reminded us time and again that the best tool to k–l productivity is to have a meeting.
I am a Dept. Supervisor and at my store per our new district manager we will have 2 meetings a big one in the evening but a early one for just the openers so they don't have to come back, the reason according to him and this was told to all employees in a email and at the morning huddles that these meetings are now 100% mandatory and will be counted as a shift ALL employees will be scheduled on those Sundays and if you do not show up for the meeting it will be counted as a No Call No Show, this was brought to our district HR lady who confirmed to employees that this is a new mandatory corporate standard. I only know of all of this cause I have vacation scheduled that week before the meeting was announced and I was told by my store manager that I have to attend even though im on vacation.
I open on the 8th and I saw I was scheduled to work 7:30pm - 9:00pm . I asked a dept supervisor and she said it was a all store meeting . Nothing is posted and no emails as of yet
The four times a year all store meetings are the biggest waste of time and payroll ever. There is nothing covered that can’t be handled in an email. We’re fed stale pastries and orange juice from Costco, and bottles of water from the broken packages that they have saved since the last meeting.
They will ask the new employees to stand and introduce themselves while the long term employees wonder how long the new hired will last. New management will stand and introduce themselves next, the women will talk about their boyfriends, husbands, and families to ward off any attempt at romance.
Then we will hear about store wins and how we came oh so close to getting a bonus but missed it by a hair. Then they will tell us all about the latest corporate thing (remember the graphical interface on genesis from a few years ago when Nibbles was still here?). Next we will hear about all the great things coming our way like the twice a year raises that aren’t as good as once a year raises. The corporate spin masters will somehow make doing even more work seem like we’ll be doing less, yeah right!
It will all come to a close and you’ll swear that you heard the noise Pac-Man makes when he dies.
See, nothing that couldn’t be better handled in an email or memo for the front end.
They are held outside my known part time availability, haven't been to one in several years...won't be starting. They can send me a bullet point e-mail.
That will be 4 of my 7 days that I’m allowed to call off sick next year
I love the smell of payroll burning
How were you notified? I worked yesterday and checked my email, nothing new there. Haven't heard about any mtg on 12/8.
All store meeting. There are 4 per year now!!
