I think it would be in your best interest to go back through school 1 more time!
Look at the washington job protection and subcontracting get union involved dont let up. If you a mofe. Employee its in our contract takes some leg work
You won't get New York Dock Agreement. Thats for employees affected by a decision of the Surface Transportation Board. Im pretty sure they didnt move your work nor will they be involved in an internal decision to do so.
Progress Rail, Rail power, NYAB, Wabtec/GE. do all the work. contracted labor, build loco’s and all components. as a labor contract “union” how do we compete???? the work was lost years ago and now all that is happening is the slow demise of what remains. i give it 2 years.
Send work to JLS. LOL that is funny. All they have been doing is taking work and laying off.
F NS BTW
Contracted doesnt mean sent to another shop
If your work is contracted out yes there is protection in the contract for you talk with your union rep
No. U won't get NY Dock
what work are you talking about? JLS hasn’t received any new work in-fact several back shop work is gone and contracted out. that’s why they let 200 go. good luck.
If my job is affected by anything the ICC approves then it comes under the protection. The ICC approved the acquisition of Conrail by NS. So if they ship my work north then I should get 6 years pay.
Unfortunately, I think New York Dock protection only applies to mergers, so I don't think so but you may want to double check.
