Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

PSE news.

Well, our PSE was forced to woprk on black Friday, manning a lead table. LMAO.
He stood there all day, blocking a busy end-cap, and disrupting mad foot traffic with bumper carts. At the end of the day, he got ZERO leads.
Then again today, Saturday. With the same results.

Meanwhile, as hes standing trhere doing nothing, we are fielding half a dozen calls per day of complaining PSE customers who never received a call to schedule their estimate, or calling because they have been waiting days / weeks for their estimate, or because their install was terrible and they have an issue.

No one ever fields the call, and it goes unresolved. The CPO is useless, managers are incompetent, and the front end simply sends all these calls to the Pro desk. The customer gets so frustrated with the CPO that they call the store. Then, the PSE never answers because "ITS NOT HIS JOB!" And hes right! He sells, then the coordinator (Lowes eliminated them or has some PT'ers in some stores yet are never trained and useless) and CPO take over but dont! So the customer pays big money, then gets jerkked off.

In NY, the PSE was let go because "he wasnt making sales". Yet, he had no coordinator, no store support, and a useless CPO!

Man, every damn system in Lowe's is brokej, set up to fail, or run by empty suits who dont know sh–. The are so focused on the stuff that doesnt matter. The minutia.

Lowes is failing, and will fail. They refuse to provide proper resources needed for every area of operations. Look at the PSI program! Failure. CPO, XPO, 3rd party cleaning people, elimination of installed sales .... all failures.

Get out while you can. Lowe's is the special olympics on crack.

Lowe’s already knows the PSE is not profitable. The program is on thin ice in 2020. Listen to the some of the innuendo in the stores from the SM about “the old install model”. Legacy installs will be back for windows and other categories next year, I’m thinking. PSE will be gone in 2020. Sorry!

I was a prominent PSE at Lowe’s for 10 years too. Raise margins required to unrealistic dollars. Switch from full time to salary. Change day off EVERY year. Add layers and layers of unqualified managers. Tie everyone’s hands. Freeze pay for 6 YEARS. AND NEVER ADVERTISE THE PROGRAM TO ANYONE IN ANY WAY. we all quit. I am building a future somewhere else. The he’ll with Lowe’s. Biggest empty suit is Marvin Ellison. He is totally winging it. Leave now.

Well said by last poster. I was a top 3 Pse in company and left. Had 10 years experience as well....you don’t replace me in todays world. Ims rollout in August was absolutely a abomination. Who does that??? Left October 28 to go to a real sales structure...did absolutely take a pay cut...but peace of mind and leaving toxic company behind is worth it. Marvin is a failure and always will be...nothing more than hedge fund puppet. I left with my head held high...no respect for company that treats employees as commodity. Used to love Lowe’s...sad

Lowes is creating a fiscal claim that the PSE program is unprofitable (make the job s— so the best PSEs and managers leave, and add minutia so people can’t sell)
Pay programs constantly changed, categories were dropped, and the most obvious was switching to IMS during the busy season... who does that- introduce layers of work when it’s busy instead of training when it’s slow so people can succeed when it picks up?
I think it’s a one year plan to make the PSE program look unprofitable on a spreadsheet.

When I was in outside sales I did all my own lead generation and follow up. I typically worked evenings and weekends too. None of this prequalified lead stuff like Lowe’s does.

PSE's are overpaid anyway. Funny how they all get scared when rumors of full commission cone about. One things for sure...they live the schedule and freedom of beingvable to do whatever they want when they want. Overpaid and under worked if ypu ask me

I was also a PSE that left Lowe's in October this year. I was over target for the year and was in the top 15 PSE's overall. I was with Lowe's for 6 years but I could see this program ending soon. I had no coordinator no real store support. I worked like crazy to stay on top of everything. I was going crazy so I left....

I was probably the highest total sales selling Pse in company history...on one hand you seem to have no news, but yes the program is fubar due to company messing it up. I left end of October as i see writing on the wall. Like everything else, Marvin and Joe the hedge fund puppets will end or mess this program up terminally as they kind of already have.
