A little over a year ago before the merger was announced L3 sold it's Vertex and Crestview Aerospace which was extremely involved in the aviation industry.

If this rumor is true then it would mean that L3Harris wants to stay in the aircraft business, which was a big part of L3 but didn't seem to be a big part of how L3H was positioning itself.
And I presume that the F-5 is mainly an international sales item I dont think the US has had those in the inventory for years. If ever.
Reno Nevada company
L3 used to do a lot with the F-5, recently at the Air Force Association’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, September 16-18 L3Harris showed their Venom™ Adversary Air Mission Software Suite in a Tactical Air Support, Inc. F-5AT.

Tactical Air Support's website is eerily similar in layout to the L3Harris website

From the Air Force? Didn't know they were selling. I'd think the Army would make a bid.
