ASA position being eliminated. New position created. It will be posted and they will have to apply.
So far nothing happening at my store! Anyone else?
It would make sense to redefine the asa role. Probably will take on fixing scheduling caused by the new system. Hope they can get someone good the one at my store makes their own schedule and is hardly there.
What the heck is an ASA, don’t think our store has one. There was a closed door mtg, weird that they post note on door, essentially saying closed door mtg, don’t come in, in the only place where phones are kept, so good luck helping customers without phone. Can’t answer calls over pager and have to find avail computer to look up item pricing and availability for the in person customers.

Makes sense, since ours bailed out to another store where they fired an ASM.
The rumor is there was a company-wide conference call for Store Managers today. The topic of discussion was changes are being made to the the Administrative Support Associate position.
This information was posted on an alternate site. The poster claims,
“ASAs will be taking on new responsibilities and retitled to SSA. You will have to interview for the new position however. If not chosen, you will be moved to a CSA position in the store.”
I guess we’ll find out if it’s true tomorrow.

There was a conference call this morning. I'm putting my money on the announcement of an official timeline for RTM transitions.
I agree. Ever since they laid off the department managers and the “excess” ASMs Lowe’s has been sinking.
I'd be happy to get laid off right before winter!
