I knew the goose was cooked when they came up with some kind of “revised” EBITDA. It’s been a while since I left so I can’t remember what exactly it meant but it was super fishy and I couldn’t believe they were doing it.
I always laughed at all the hoops we would jump through to slice and dice data. Trying to figure out which members were most profitable. Like that next report was going to be the key to turning things around. Meanwhile the stores crumbled.
I think Eddie genuinely believes in it though. It's what he has in lieu of genuine financial knowledge, otherwise he wouldn't have destroyed so much of his own cash flow.
