Once ERISA steps in they have to pay penalties and it's not cheap. I think the employee benefits as well from the penalties.
I think that's an ERISA violation.
Ha!, the benefits and pension group are terrible, too. After I was riffed in Dec last year, they continued to drag their feet making all kinds of excuses to prevent me from removing my money from AIG.
