So we heard about 2 days ago that they were doing a massive layoff and closing several programs under Medicare and retirement. The layoffs includes not only nurse case managers but also managers, associate directors, social workers, medical directors, and much more. We had an update today on organizational changes and it still seems like there is an unclear redesign of those of us who are keeping our jobs on exactly who we will be under but the manager said they kept will have much larger groups of staff to manage. I think all of the staff that are being kept currently are all scared and nervous about what is going to happen. Some people are getting Severance packages and their last days will be in January. Some people are being moved to other departments but if I cannot find a position then they are being laid off. However we were also told that Medicare and retirement has been very profitable in the care we are giving, we are talkin like in the Millions. It just seems like they're talking out of one side of their mouth and doing something totally different on the other side, ie. Very shady

Any layoffs in Community and State Benefit Configuration teams?
Was told of a director and a manager let go today on the NICM team as well as a project manager. None of the ICMs were laid off that we know of but some moves to different teams. This site has been very accurate on dates and I think they will start with the ICMs and CACs again in Feb or March when clinical services is moved under Optum. We have started noticing lots of “bots” notes and their macro has “Offshore allowed:” with yes or no as the answer. UHC/Optum should be ashamed for laying off hard working people only to give their job to someone overseas!
What dept of cac’s? There are so many different cac teams across the organization

I was also at this meeting today. The one where the director got choked up and referenced this site? Stating she didn’t know of more layoffs in Jan or Feb??? Well, seeing as we ALL read every single lay-off date that was posted here since Sept,,And they came to exact fruition ,,, maybe she ought to read up!!!! Every date was spot on, to the day, so someone, somewhere KNOWS and the fact that this company treats humans Worse than animals is despicable. There is a factual HIRING FREEZE people. Why didn’t remaining Director address the fact that there is a full Philippine team doing ALL the cases we used to do. This is MEDICARE /MEDICAID CCR review. CACs and RNs. Telecommute Group. Because everyone is home behind screens, it’s easy to b—s— people. When the new VP/Optum called a sh– can meeting Wednesday, she didn’t even announce the people who were laid off????? Transparency award 🥇. Get out now. We’re usually busy as hell in Jan so they’ll wrong you out and let you go. It’s so obvious. Save your dignity and and stop getting used. It’s over folks.
I am a CAC and told that my department was being eliminated however I was keeping my job along with others and being moved to another department. Over half my team has received a email and meeting where they are being moved to but the others as well as myself haven’t. Anyone else having this issue? My supervisor is gonna as of January and she’s been with the company for 14 years and she knows nothing, they are keeping her in the dark about us as well.
Is there any update for Community and State as far as more layoffs, hearing now that they laid off the director, managers, etc. now in Feb and/or March, will be the "little people" turn, is the whole company basically moving everything to other countries, why not just do it all 1 time and get it over with
Yeah, lots of meetings but more questions than answers. Lots of moving parts and so many things just don't make sense. I think it's time to update my resume!
