Did anyone actually hit that astronomical quota? I mean do they realize that is our Christmas check?

$2500 and up checks are long gone, company doesn't want to pay us, we sell more and make less but the company makes more and more every month.
Generally the quota for November and December has always been inflated due to the Holiday season. There is no doubt that the company makes it extremely challenging but NOT impossible to make a 3-4K check every month. Personally I think quota should be based solely on sales dollars since the company makes the majority of its profit in that category. In the near future commission should switch to flat dollar amounts on all qualifying transactions. In the end though no matter which way you slice it to make 3-4K checks is NEVER about quality but quantity of transactions. The company blatantly puts that out there with a 300 box total to hit a 2.0. What is crazy but 100% fact is that some reps are outright slamming accounts and still not making a 1k check. This just shows you how skewed the quota is.
I think just one rep in my location made about $1500. Everybody else was $1000 or less.
54% of the reps in my entire district didn't even hit quota. I only made about $1200 with SIX days of quota relief at the beginning of the month and a large tablet deal that closed before black friday.
My store had a couple 2k checks, everyone else ranged from $600-1300. Phone quota wasn't the problem it was the crazy sales bucket
