They're not shutting down JBS. It is being sold to and reopened. All laid off workers and current employees will have first shot at the jobs. Norfolk Southern will outsource a lot of its work to them.
i would like to be positive here but the workers deserve what they get. the company deserves what it gets. both sides have run the company to the point of no return. the business of RR won’t support both CSX and NS. it’s just not robust enough even with a strong economy. one will need to go and i feel NS is just too late to the party. it’s time to diversify you earning potential. good luck all!

Supposedly they’re shutting down all the northern ships and sending all the work down south...why? Because the South will rise again!!!
none planned. so work hard produce quality and keep the doors open. a lot of us have a long way to go until retirement. stop messing this company up from with in. we have worked with bad management before and can again nothing new here. we are NS and need to keep what we have built.
