Thanks Marv and Small-Hands, I am dumber for having attended this nonsense.

BS meetings. I haven't attended any for the past 3-4 years. So predictable what it's all about. I sell over a million a year; all they give is a ridiculous president's club badge. I'd appreciate if Marv sent me a popeyes coupon to get myself a sandwich.
quality of meals continues to plummet. they didnt even have enough for the turnout that did show....god forbid if the entire store actually came!! many upset backend employees were forced to come. nothing like having to work sunday.,,you know because they take our weekends away...wait around for a meeting stay for a meeting that delivers no meaningful information just so your store can show "compliance" to corporate....get to bed hours after you would normally be in bed for your typical ungodly early morning shifts that start long before the sun rises. nothing like store management pretending like sleep isnt vital to good job performance! fricken retail workers not ER surgeons! theres zero reason to push us to go with a couple hours sleep between shifts. we then have to operate power equipment etc. with next to no sleep....just so store manager can show compliance!
4 of these stupid meetings a year. get our of your ivory tower marv......i know meetings is how you justify your paycheck....but we have real work that has to get done. shareholders wont keep lowes in business...customers will....we service those customers.
40% of ceo's forced to step down in 2018 was because of unethical personal decisions like insider trading.......marv i believe your number will eventually be called. its very obvious by your foolish words and mo–nic actions that youre only here to enrich the activist investors that installed you and then heavily paid you in stock.
Marv’s BS. That is the bottom line. Socialist business practices to control the masses.
It is all about Marv’s millions of self enrichment. Stock Price. And the Hedge Funds. You get a cookout or c-appy pizzas.
And the worthless mindless millennial employees. What could possibly go wrong?
Incentives after what...you sell 30,000 grand a week...don't count on actually getting any
The horse and carrot analogy is a good one to understand how Lowe’s operates.
Marvin seems to have forgotten what he has said; “there are no cash registers at corporate” and “you serve customers or you serve those that serve customers.”
While we are feed stale donuts and warm orange juice, corporate feasts like a glutinous pig off f our efforts.
Regarding the comments about "incentives" coming back, all that was said at our meeting was that some sort of "performance based" incentives were being considered to help offset the "allowance" loss. My interpenetration is that the company will likely set the thresholds so high that payouts will not be likely. Zero chance it will come even remotely close to offsetting my allowance loss coming in Feb. Just like when our employee bonus gets shorted in the final days of a recording period by either a totally out of the blue negative customer review or a summing error that fails to accurately take into account store Sterling sales (which just happened to us). Hopefully corporate will prove me wrong. Envision a carrot being dangled in front of a starving horse that is expected to carry an ever increasing amount of weight but only now attached to an even longer stick.
Agreed, my take away was that Mystery Shops have quietly returned.
How can I walk the customer to the merchandise when there is less than half the associates now than what we had a few years ago when they did the mystery shop program?
I walk the customer to the merchandise and I am trapped in another department answering questions about something I don’t know. Then I have the call box going off in my department and managers on the phone or paging me back.
I missed the part about the incentives, is that something for specialists?
Best thing said, was incentives are coming back!!
Same words, different order. Still bull sh–.
Thanks, feel better about giving it the slip.
ditto. this post.
