Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is this thing still on?

For what it's worth I finally took the plunge and went to work at Costco. The minimum pay is $15/hr and the benefits are great. Most large retailers offer a $15/hr minimum now and have excellent benefits. Since the company's outlook is abysmal I hope my fellow Sears employees start looking to Walmart, Costco, and others that can actually provide you dignified employment.

There is no future at Sears or Kmart stores. Eddie Lampert continues to shutter stores. Sears and Kmart employees are better off working at a financially stable company.

Lampert and his little company, Transformco are embroiled in multiple legal spats with Sears Holdings, Stanley, Black and Decker, The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Town Center at Boca Raton, Florida, The Mall of America, Bloomington, Minnesota, Sears Hometown and Outlet stores investors, vendors and suppliers, etc.

Transformco will sink and take Lampert with it.

I finaly left the company after 11 years with the company last year when my Kmart closed. Finished my degree and now I’m out of retail. I love my job. There is life after this company.
