Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Are Optum employees safe?

It seems like with this reorganization that it's mostly UHC jobs that are being eliminated for jobs that already exist / similar in nature in Optum. So is it expected to have layoffs in both UHC and Optum in 2020 or mainly UHC?

Several FWAE teams were laid off, including the managers and directors.

What entire team at Optum was layed off last week? Can you say the division?

Optum is definitely not safe. Especially with Equian acquisition.

No one is safe, we are all expendable. So what if ‘things’ stop working they will fix it or invent new processes and functions.

The difference in grade levels including VP and above is the amount of severance for same time served.

There are companies that actually care about their employees and understand getting back more than is given in time, money, loyalty, respect, etc.

Sad, UHG was a company that cared, once upon a time. No more and definitely not Optum.

Optum is not safe, my entire team was laid off last week with a few other teams (that I know of) at Optum.
