Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Say Goodbye to the Wilkes Barre, Pa Office

More than half of the Wilkes Barre building will lose their job by the end of 2020 unless a major change occurs. The writing is on the wall. If you interact with the folks of Wilkes barre like I do. You will be working with an outsider or a third party outsourcing company in the end. Expect an announcement by the end of Q1 2020 at the latest.

You sound surprised?!?!?! We've been preparing for a exit for years now. 2013 as a matter of fact. Warehouses were consolidated. 2015 1/3 of sales reps lost their positions. Now EDI and CAO!! Guess what's going to happen next??? Don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out

Keep dreaming! Company, along side retail partners have been working tirelessly to prepare for the impending exit! Ask yourself;
If DSD were such an advantage, why are so many retailers leaving dsd? Why all the focus on CAO and EDI, integrating systems? Why has Mondelez taken so many steps towards positioning themselves to exit dsd? The answer is right under your nose!!! Cause dsd is ending! One company at a time! Mondelez has to try do cover up things because Kellogg had the clear advantage of going first! Good luck!! Paying bills though requires more than much!

It’s because we will never exit DSD which is why dates are all wrong. Keep guessing wrong. 2020 will be another solid year.

No, no facts have been given. Just the same old thing has been regurgitated time and time again. All the dates and prediction has been wrong up till this point so why keep saying them?

Sorry we tried to give you the facts. Take it for what it's worth. Wait till you get the call from HR then to let you know that your position is being eliminated! Good luck!

Sorry but opinions are not proof. Based on what you all have you said, I should have been kicked on the curb 3 years ago.

Wow!!! To the person that needs "proof" DSD is ending? Are you for real? Do you not see all the rediculously obvious, red flags EVERYWHERE??? You must be a younger, newer employee. No offense here, but it's blatantly obvious in many, many ways. How can you not see it for yourself??? It's not a question of if DSD is ending, the question is when? Is this company just full of blind sheeple? So scary...

The proof is all around you!! Retailers are taking back dsd! It's just a matter of time before we exit dsd. 2 of the largest retailers have been downsizing management positions for the last couple of years now. Ask yourself, you really think they want to keep paying premium prices for products that can easily go into the warehouse and have their employees stocking the product instead of dsd employees?? Eliminating cost is what retailers have to do to keep their shareholders happy and stay competitive. Amazon and online shopping has changed brick and mortar stores as we know it. Dsd is outdated. Cei and cao are in place. Nabisco is just taking longer than others. They want to get it right!! I don't know exactly when we are exiting but I can guarantee you that some kind of announcement is coming in Q1 2020. Reps are definitely the 1st to be eliminated. Good luck! Hope you got your proof now!

Makes sense. Call center coincides with dsd. No dsd= no need for customer care. Sorry folks. Red flags are everywhere

Uh, not exactly! Hard to believe you don’t realize but....there will be no need for cc as we know it when dsd ends!! Whose going to be calling in? Not sales reps! No more force outs or NOS orders, no more late trucks, etc!!
Starting to make sense yet? Those in Wilkes-Barre are well aware!

Post ID: @1uvm+12s4UYMN

This is where we call to find out about late trucks, orders etc etc ....
They will probably be outsourced overseas where we cannot understand anyone clearly
When they talk to us.
