What days are contractors being required to not work this holiday season? I was required not to work the week of Thanksgiving (cost savings they said) but haven't been told anything yet for the rest of the year. Thanks.

I was on a call and two contractors from different agencies compared notes. TM had Thanksgiving off and B got to work that week. YMMV.
I'm a contractor in Irving, and had to take mandatory time off over Thanksgiving, and also the week of Christmas. Lucky me.....!
Not a silly buoy, I was just wondering what others were being told since my manager is out until Monday and I hadn't heard anything. Was thinking maybe there is an I.T. wide directive since I have only been at my assignment at Verizon since October and I am not sure of all the ins and outs yet. I only experienced being required to not work the week of Thanksgiving so far. But thanks for replying anyway. Have a good holiday.
