I took a MSI position 5 years ago and I regret not staying and SSI. I am on the road constantly and the job does not pay enough. I'd like to go back to being an SSI in a remote store, but I only see maybe one job a year come up. Now that MSIs have changed to STSS, what is to become of SSIs? I'm not referring to SSS. A couple years ago BF held a tech town hall with a timeline that made it seem like SSIs would have all been replaced by third party tech services by now, but they are still here. Is this a valid position still or will it be going away soon?

I left the SSS position over 2 years ago. I did a lot for my store. Always put up all pricing and committed to daily audits In produce. F— that job. I’m making $10/hr more at my new job.
SSIs are not being back-filled. It is a legacy position. If an SSI leaves then the auditing goes to an SSS and the tech support goes to an SSTS (MSI). The SSI position is not a position in any new stores and is only for remote stores until they decide to leave or are fired.
All sss are useless .
They only want to do job description duties not all duties assinged by the leader.
Get rid of them.
@dwg Changes are applied to IRMA, people need to use changes - so someone keeping an eye on it makes sense
My favorite part of the current SSI job description... "Ensures proper implementation and use of IRMA system." WTF does that mean? It's like no one has reviewed it since 2005.
