Thread regarding CVS layoffs

The S**T has hit the fan today

  • as the District Leaders are receiving the long awaited scheduled hours from Corporate, the burden has come to rest. I spoke to my District Leader today, and he stated, our store would drop from 152 to 140, and I have 4 FT employees with a large amt. of tenure. Wonder how Corporate is going to handle them. Me, I am not worried for myself, but my employees I do worry.

It is a shame what they are doing to their loyal employees, who have showed up for their scheduled shifts, not calling in sick, doing all of the tasks that has been assigned to them, etc..........holding on because of health insurance, and so on.
I understand that no one on these posts really care, but they should, as it will happen to them, if it hasn't already.

Your tech demand is 95 and your a top 5 store in your region?!? What low volume region is this? We don't have any pharmacies in our district with less then 180 hours.

My pharmacy tech demand is being cut 50% (95) and we are a top 5 store in the region. I will have to lay off 1/2 of my staff.

So how were 4 full timers and you getting hours on 152 - one of your employees can work another store 1 day a week and that will almost take care of it , or work 1 day in Rx
I do almost 30 and I’m going to 159
Minimum minus 10 and it’s gonna be b.....

Not all stores are created equal. Exceed sales consistently in a decent volume store and you get hours. Generate a measly 1.2 mil front store sales for the company in a year and you get nothing.
