Most yards likely qualify as superfund sites to some degree.

I think it was a joke. Referring to when Kanye said it about president bush after the hurricane.

Not calling him a racist but I don’t think he cares about anybody but himself.

@1pel I don’t disagree with you, but a lot of corporate leaders don’t even do that much.

I don’t like the guy, but of all the creepy-crawly things he is, one thing he probably is not is a racist. His record as leader suggests that what @ims said is flat out wrong.

There’s plenty of reasons to despise him already. No need to make up new ones.

This is tragic, but I’ve always wondered how Houston could be a healthy place to live overall. The oil, chemicals, plastics, shipping, and flooding of all that c-ap from the port can’t be good. Very unfortunate for the poor black neighborhoods, but the amount of pesticides, herbicides, plastics, and contaminants we’re all exposed to puts everyone at some level of risk these days and UP inherited a pre-1980s mess in the 90s, so at least they didn’t just shove it under the rug.

Taking EEO complaints seriously doesn’t mean you care. It’s a good way to avoid being sued and/or embarrassed. In 2019 not taking that stuff seriously is a good way to get fired and end upon the news.

@ims in Lance’s defense he has taken EEO complaints seriously and has even personally intervened to resolve issues of racial discrimination, which is a constant problem at UP. It’s one of the few bright spots in his tenure.

I don’t like him, but I give credit where credit is due.
