Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Moving foward

Lets not make the same mistakes again. Now that we are out of bankruptcy let's not cut corners just to meet out numbers for the month. Let's follow the process. We will provide our customers a quality product that meets our customer requirements every time.

As many have already stated, the company is in total disarray and with a smaller customer window competition is ruthless. This can be said for all of the majors in the oil and gas business that are too busy writing process's, policy, and safetying themselves to death.
They have too many VPs, or champions as some call them. I mean seriously, wtf to these guys actually do besides draw an outlandish salary. You'd think their cousins were running Celedon trucking.
If there are any customers to be saved it will have to be done with the original core business that was Weatherford and they could start by sc-apping about 75 percent of the equipment as it's all dated and used up. Start out small and work their way up from the bottom. That is if there are any people left that know how to provide a quality service repeatedly.
It will definitely be interesting to see how it plays out but in reality it's all in the hands of the shot callers at the banks.

get rid of some VPs and directors first. VP reports to VP, director reports to another Director, everyone has a manager title... what happened to 5 hand-shakes to CEO?

Customer requirements have a time frame, we have so many policies and procedures and lack of manufacturing that we miss the deadlines.
