My store is closing and they have not told us yet what our severance package will be. Can anyone tell me how many weeks of severance the company gives to a sales associate if they been with the company for 23 years?

One week for every year & 3 months Cobra.
When I was laid-off in 2010 they paid me a week for every year, and paid for Cobra. They did right by me. I came back to work for Macy's four years later. Those who say it's a dead-end job have no desire to promote.
If you are an hourly associate in a union store, they do not have to give you a package. the union may step in and negotiate one, but no guarantee.
Layoffs are devastating, especially after so many years of service, and I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I hope everything works out for the best!
Can you share what state your store is in?
What store are you at? usually years equals weeks.. so 23 years is 23 weeks but not sure associatea
but my take is your gonna be better off.. its a horrible dead end job

We were told last March that our store was closing and then they came in last week to sat just kidding you're actually staying open. So many people in our store transferred to other stores or found jobs with other companies. Can't believe that they jerked us around for over half a year, we had ladies who has worked here for over 20 years crying for six months. We also have people like me who were staying on for the severance, now I have to figure out if I want to stay.
My severance package was one week pay for every year of service, but not sure if it will be the same for everyone.
