In the case of issues, never talk to HR; they will never be on the employee’s side.

Don't know why this is posted here, but it is the absolute truth. Don't talk to HR about anything. Everything is handled by the management. If you have a problem with a manager, go up the management chain. If you don't find anyone on your side, though, you need to be prepared to leave before you try this.

HR does what the managers tell them to do. Management will always be believed before you. Management will lie together if they need to, to cover something up.

Even if you find someone above you who is willing to do something to help you, possibly even remove your manager, they will not tell HR about anything. They will keep it to themselves, as they don't want to look like they were responsible in any way.

Better to get out of the company if you can.

This article is bogus. Google is increasing hiring in cloud and increasing capex in cloud over very high levels. No such conversations took place. Four new cloud regions are opening in 2020 including two more in the US.

So, what kind of company is it when the “pressures” of Oracle are all from management or lack thereof? The technical stuff was fine but workload is overwhelming. Can I get additional resources/support? Or, my sales manager is a complete brown nosing favorite playing nightmare. Who in mgmt is showing that is the way to act? LE is famous for having favorites, so now you understand that dysfunction comes from the top. O likes to blame the victim, whether emp or customer. Don’t fall for it.

Yes I have noticed, Just take a look at the troll pitch his hissy above yours. Posted multiple places, too. I feel bad for the people left, I know several who are planning to retire next year and are just holding out until they can file their papers. Or get RIF'd so they can have a nice paid vacation and then file.

TK was the “brain” behind Fusion. Which may have been the most disastrous technical decision ever by a major tech provider. Can’t blame LJE, SC or MH for that. Let’s see if he and his merry band of sycophants he imported from O repeats that boondoggle at GCP. I’m guessing GCP remains a bit player or shuts down

Was it TK that failed at Oracle? Or was it LE/MH/SC's doing?

All of the above

The other thing that's interesting is that google needs to be #1 or #2 in order for it to make sense for them. Where does that leave Oracle and Oracle's "cloud" then?

Doesn't look good for the cloud people at Oracle, especially OCI, since no infrastructure will be needed.

It will be interesting to watch. Was it TK that failed at Oracle? Or was it LE/MH/SC's doing?

What's interesting here is that they are contemplating shutting the cloud offering all together if they do not grab position #1 or #2 by 2023. If I was in the market for cloud services they'd be the last company I'd look at, too much risk even if they are just contemplating it.

Expect TK to be looking for job in about two years.
