Lowes s—s. Knoxville VP Sean is an arrogant prick that should be terminated. They need new blood in there. These clowns don't know how to run things. And I am sure that goes for most of the districts around the company. They don't care about anyone but themselves.
MST used to be doing servicing and re-sets and now are only doing servicing because all the other stuff has been given to the cheaper outside 3rd parter vendors who have no benefits and work for peanuts.
We have seen that this is the way this company is going. Everything is too expensive and so they do everything on the cheap.
So, yeah, we can't keep a full team to put a box away at night, price correctly, prepare deliveries etc... and now we will have people that move the entire flooring department for $11.25 -$13.25 an hour because Corp will pocket the extra cash the vendors are paying just like they did with the spiffs. Remember the excuse "so we can pass along the savings to the customers". Wonder if travel time and mileage will be changed somehow? Corp tested the MST program overnights already and from what I heard it was a fail. just like everything else, why bother testing things if your just going to push it thru anyway. Another "Big Win" Right? you all hear that constantly after every new program roles out?
So the mst pod managers can apply for the new position, which is an overnight position, but nobody knows what the pay is yet. Also there's no severance for them regardless. Sh!t deal if you ask me.
High volume stores will increase numbers of msts by 6-8 people. Everyone will do service only except overnight third party reset team. Mobile printers coming i have heard along with more mst zebras. Msm will be more hands-off and much more administrative and quality control.
Does anyone have the real information as to what is going on?
Don't worry they can apply to the new and essentially identical but technically different position where they will be welcome to remain for the next five months before that position is itself eliminated.
My wife is an MST and she just heard that her "Pod Manager" (who oversees 4-5 stores) has had his position eliminated at the end of the fiscal year
The quality job is open for interviews...its not just given to the mss
They really havent made any big chages for a while with our program...makes sense they have to do something to remove the last few high paid ones

Mss role changes. 1 will stay days as an auditor for the district. 1 will go nights as an overnight traveling msm. Cover only 3 stores work 4 nights per week
I wasn't the owner of the original post but, something is definitely up with the MST program and from the little I overheard by mistake, a traveling overnight crew makes sense for the larger resets. Whatever happened on that call today, its a change to the MST program.
