Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Post reviews of this company

I think we should all post reviews of this company on all websites possible. People need to know what they are stepping into.

Being a whistleblower is not for the faint of heart. Things that happen- job loss, undue stress on self & family. Divorce, health issues, mental illness including depression, anxiety, insomnia and substance abuse. Justice? A long wait. Can take years, 5, 10, maybe longer? In the end, the CEO might get a slap on the wrist & pay a monetary fine. The man never really loses.

@130jw9XI-lxz: Agree with you 100%, but I think what OP had in mind was to go to sites like glassdoor and indeed and bring truth to those sites. If anything, I'd encourage those of you still in Optum that are witness to illegal activity to gather evidence and go to the press or the authorities with it.

What an excellent thread!!!! Posting my view: The people that do the job every single day are EXCEPTIONAL. They are committed, they believe in the published values, and they are sadly, not respected by management. Offshoring occurs, it is how how companies need to react to keep costs low so that we can support our members at reasonable rates, Sadly, we treat those offshore team members worse than what I imagine we treated slaves during the civil war era... This is a corporation that has not chosen it's philosophy or direction. It is the worst I have ever seen at communicating strategy, process, or goals to the ranks. So much of what occurs there is through sites like this, through rumor or innuendo. Currently, not a company I can recommend. In the past, it was a company that considered alternatives and possibilities. It listened to the people that get it done. Not today.....
