HP are not interested...my prediction is HP take control and run the new HP/xerox company.

Someone from HP posted either on this site or the HP site that the layoffs in their print division were largely due to the acquisition of Samsung's printer business, eliminating duplicate jobs.

HP wants nothing to do with Xerox or any other printing company. Print is dying as we know it. HP is currently laying off 9000 people in their print division. Their 3D metals is well under way with VW and is producing some hard cash now. They are #2 in the world for computers and their industrial printers are being sold like crazy. Industrial printers = think large cardboard boxes for shipping.

When Xerox made the offer to HP they only had $24B from the banks. They needed $37B to make the offer a real one. That is why HP turned them down.

Xerox is dead in the water without HP. Carl shredded Xerox to pieces in an attempt to make it appear profitable in order to sell Xerox to HP. His plan went south when HP realized what Carl and John had done.
Carl and John went to plan "B" persuade the banking titans to help them execute a hostile takeover, which is the only way out now. Banking titans are NOT falling for Carl and John's smoke and mirrors either. banking titans see clearly through the smoke and mirrors just as HP did but they MAY need some losses for tax purposes.
A hostile takeover will be one huge loss for the banks while Carl and John line their pockets and leave Xerox and HP employees out in the cold. Just Saying!!!
