Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Any news for AST?

Just curious on what will happen to the AST team ... We just finish inventory and support and AST did all the work, so sad.
I just want to know what's happening with AST ...

ASTS became the Special Service Supervisor in those stores who converted to Neighborhood (probably 25 Nationwide)...will be interesting to see if the company rolls this out to all non growth stores or everyone under 25M even if not a Neighborhood store.

From what I hear AST staff will remain the same but the ASTS position will be combined into a "special services supervisor" which will oversee AST and AYS.

Let's see what AST does: new hires, work orders, cash office, payroll, the list goes on and on. To do anymore AST cuts would be downright stupid.

Let's be real: stores would fall apart without AST

Useless? Lol. You have no idea what they do behind the scenes to ensure you get paid and have what you need to operate the store. Ha!

Ok, you can’t run the control desk and go scan inventory at the same time. Take your pick. Doesn’t matter who it is.

AST did all the work? 5 nights if scanning until the early mornings and not one AST with a scanning device. The AST sat at the desk and bark orders. They are useless in the store I work.
