Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The company needs to stop messing with associates lives. We have no job security anymore. The associates that have been with company for years and that helped make them their money is now being like someone they can step on. Raising minimum wage is great and is the right thing to do but it doesn’t help your long term associates. It has taken years for us to have a decent pay and they are bringing people in making close to what we make. Raise everyone’s pay that’s the fair thing to do. If the company is going to cut managers position them do it by first in first out and by coaching’s/performance not by whom you know or s— up too

There are no more “packages”. How many times must that be said.

It’s a rumor site, everyone knows not to take everything written here for granted. But it can be very useful, once you learn how to read it. Plus those trolls that you are mentioning are pretty easy to spot, get downvoted and forgotten pretty soon.

@1fon you are very correct, but you have to pay attention. The past several months we have had a troll and his buddies on here making things up all over this page. Their objective is to spread lies and get everyone worried and scared. Most of the things posted on here (this post is one of them) is the work of the local troll. Just keep your fingers crossed that he gets a life soon. Or even better, hope he grows up. He's not someone his mom is proud of for sure.

You may call posting on this site "rumors" and "untrue"...but I am one who knows first hand that what this site says is the truth.
I used to me an accounting associate. And everything that was said about the department/position was true. My managers wouldn't own up to it (even though they new what was happy). I was used for my knowledge and the thrown away when no longer needed. My title was stripped from me, I was offered a "new job code" so I didn't receive a severance (which I deserved). I found out about my new job code in an email from corporate.
So, it might not happen tomorrow, next week or next month...but I promise you, it will happen!

If they're planning on giving Leads more responsibility, my club is screwed.

It cracks me up how much people believe the random stuff posted on here. Here watch I can do this as well:

All managers will be removed, only the GM will still be kept. Clubs will now be run by the associates and a new council will be formed to make decisions.
Meat cutter position is gone, going to all prepacked meat. Former meat cutters will be given the option to become HMS or Cafe associates.
Tires will be remodeled and reduced, Club Pickup will now be taking over half their space to utilize their bay doors as a curb side delivery system.
With the new membership desk initiative we will be taking further steps to increase members self reliance. All registers will become fully operational self check outs with cashier's on hand to give assistance and inquire about plus/credit.

Just heard that the company is going to 1 merch manager, 1 fresh manager and 1 frontline manager. Team lead are to be like hourly managers.

Marketing has been confirmed K.I.A for awhile know. Nothing new to announce I would guess.

From what I was told, no. However I'm not 100% sure on new job titles. They are changing and area of responsibility are but not sure, only know of the merch manager.
