Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

A Couple of Weeks Ago...

About 2 weeks ago a few people in Lewisville here got rebadged - more to come too.

We are exhausted, anxious...

Do not work for HCL, you will not like it.

If you take it for what it is, HCL has been very fair. Remember, Xerox made this call. For HCL we continued to do our job until time to train our replacements. The training is not so smooth, but it's not horrible. Just think of HCL as a temp position with great benefits and a decent exit package, more than any temp agency can or will offer.

if you are training someone oversees where your job is being outsourced then file a petition. Save all your documents (emails, meeting notices, etc.) for proof.

We got badged over last April 1st, it has been pure hell, HCL cannot get anything right, training offshore people makes you want to pull your hair out, they don't listen to you, they don't understand the work and they are so slow, we have been training them now for over 4 months with no end in sight!

If you got rebadged to HCL, you have probably 10 months left until the move your job to India. Polish up your resume.

I wouldn't expect them to extend for any length of time beyond the 60 days. I received my 60 Day notice 11/15/19, saying my last day would be 1/17/2020. Yesterday I received the 2 week notice once again stating my official last day is indeed 1/17/2020. It did indicate I will get the 12 week severance, but with nothing for unused vacation. I was a Pre-sales / install analyst for Xerox for a couple of decades.
