no big losses on this round
I think the new oslg supervisor position will have the old LNS job description cut and pasted onto it.
If you don’t apply for and get hired for oslg super, you’ll be terminated because they’re only going to pay one person at our rates to run the garden.
The same salary and 3% bonus in April (how convenient for Lowe’s) is how they’re keeping us from jumping ship before the garden is set up to make its millions for the co.
I believe I (we) have been terminatedut it won’t take effect until April or when corporate thinks it’s safe.
- S. ask your current garden-seasonal super if they’ve been told they should apply for the new and improved oslg super. Something is wrong.
Riddle me this folks.....why? would you take a title away....and go to csa4 keep same pay?..…. Still part of the name tags, boy slow death going in snail mode as not to upset the masses.....Be sure is the sun will rise tomorrow the darkness will follow...Good speed.
Yes, Lowe's was never an ideal place to work but if you had an issue, at least you could shrug it off and figure that tomorrow would be a better day (hopefully). Now, there is no reason to hopeful or optimistic and it just gets worse and worse. From the corporate viewpoint, everyone is paid too much and the help just costs too much (even though Marvin has said that a company's employees are its main asset) and everyone is expendable, especially if they are paid well. Jettison as many people as you can and Wall Street will reward you (stock closed at $122, a new high). David Shaw, the hedge-fund investor in Lowe's who stands to make a bundle is ostensibly Marvin's boss and pulling his strings and he is the puppet carrying out his wishes. On the other hand, the viewpoint from the trenches on the sales floor is that there is minimal coverage, minimal scheduling and the remaining employees are asked and expected to do more than one person's worth of work. It just isn't possible with irp's, customers and various random tasks every day. It is as though cloning oneself is a necessity, if possible. I wonder (when things get too difficult or stressful) if each one of those situations is meant to piss off the help and motivate or compel them to quit, at which point they will not be replaced (saving even more money) or simply replaced with someone cheaper, which is optimal because corporate just doesn't understand that you get what you pay for.
If they are getting rid of PSE why would they talking about testing a new PSI type position in certain pilot markets?
We have had a Pro supervisor and a lumber supervisor for months.
Nothing new for us.
If the changes from LNS > CSA4 take effect immediately some will be upset at reduced Q4 bonus. Also I'm guessing when those reduced in title/bonus, (but get same base pay) get fed up their replacements will be hired/paid at CSA4 level. Another way to save for the company. Our LNS will leave.
PSES the writing is on the wall!
Non of it seems like a big deal honestly. Nobody fired. Nobody lost money.
My store is considered high vol / hi theft.
We currently have a Pro and Lumber supervisor, as one title. That now will be TWO Supervisors.
The same for ISLG & OSLG. So my store is adding 2, to make a total of 13 dept supervisors.
LNS went to CSA 4. Big fkkn deal. He lost his key privileges. Good for him!
WE ARE ALSO LOSING AN ASM! How come no mention of this anywhere else? Its confirmed. The ASM will be transferred but we are going from 5 to 4.
Our RTM was phased out months ago. The cage and receiving entrance is a fort of returned goods sitting there and expanding by the day. Its of colossal size.
The Home Decor / Windows Walls specialist was eliminated. Gone.
Thats all I have for now, and yes, Lowe's is still a terrible place to work.
From hiring wrong, inexperienced people, no training, no manager oversight or competent managers, and all operations do not work. Its a short-staffed environment where corporate empty suits think PERCEPTUALLY, like farm animals, rather than conceptually like rational human beings. Every day we put out fires and its groundhog dog. Its a mindless, thankless, purposeless job with no future. Its complete garbage and anyone saying otherwise is either FOS, dumb asa rock, or one of the manipulating lying c**ts, who are collecting a check while shirking off on everyone else.
The truth as it came down yesterday.
Lns title only change to csa 4
RTM will go away with in 4 months. RTM clerk can move to the sales floor if they choose. They will receive a 4 week notice on when the store will go live on the new system.
Install sales for here 36 million dollar store will bei down to a ds and 1 associate in four weeks. Displaced associate will be given a sales floor position if they want it
Some stores will separate pro and lumber opening a new ds position.
Some stores will add a oslg ds.
I’m sorry I do not know what defines the new ds roles.
Used to be you could hope to retire.
Depot still has PSE program so Lowes isn’t going to drop it any time soon. We follow the leader
Also my store
RTM on vacation hasn’t got told yet but receiving was told they will have to step up
LNS is now cs4 no pay change
Install office went from 5 to 2
We did have a pro manager so nothing changed there.
》》Pro services supervisor some stores
》》 by volume maybe splitting into 2
Would you clarify this? Does not effect me, but not sure what you mean "splitting into 2".
The Sell, furnish install model is a failure in HVAC. They are probably keeping PSE because what they wanted to replace them with doesnt work. Just saying.
I am an LNS and was told today that I am now a CSA4
but my pay will remain the same as an LNS. Still the same exact job but with a different title.
Can an ASM just say what is going to happen.
Some install coordinators are being moved to the floor. If you are considered a low install store then it is being downgraded to just the Dept supervisor and 1 coordinator. The PSE position is not going anywhere. They just revamped the Market Supervisor position and actually created 2 new outside sales roles on the corporate level. If anything the company is putting more money into the program.
Walked in the install office about 1300 Mountain and the two dedicated ISO staff members were crying. I asked what was up and they said they just got really bad news but weren't at liberty to say what happened. Im assuming the install office is gone or PSE is gone and everyone with them.
My lns wad told he was gonna br a csa4 with no pay cut.
LNS CONFIRMED BY WHOM????
The PSE rumor is not true.
Confirmed by whom?
