Thread regarding Acosta Sales & Marketing layoffs

Do not go here for a job!

Worked 4 years for Acosta, had 5 different unit managers. Promoted to full time and driving home one day got an email stating that as of November 2018 I would be moved to part time 37.5 hours. This took away two sick pay weeks, all holidays, and Paid time off. My new unit mgr said it was a mistake and I would be made full time again. I have worked 40 hours a week for all of last year as my unit manager said I would be reinstated. A year later I am still part time and hating this company. I don't know how they chose who to demote as there are two full time employees in the next unit managers district. Unit managers have from 5 to 6 rcms. There must be some way to find out how they chose whom to demote. There should be a class action law suit with ALL of those demoted and compare their compliance records. I will be contacting an attorney soon to try and get all records and recover pay.

This would be good story for news reporters and expose them.

Write or email and submit a written 'grievance' and submit it to your supervisor, his supervisor, and human resources indicating who it is against, probably the company. Write detailed circumstances and what your grievance is about, the information you are requesting and WHAT YOU WANT as a RESOLUTION to your grievance. Make sure to date it. In subject line, say 'grievance.' In the body of email or written memo, state what your grievance is,etc as stated above. Send a copy to Human Resources and your Civil Rights Department. Before you submit your grievance, look up the company policy and procedures personnel manual and employee hand book for instructions for completing and submitting grievances. Also do this and If can't find it: write or email a request for it to HR and also call HR and tell them specifically what policy and procedure you want as well. If you never receive the information or a response from HR, just go ahead and and write/email and send the grievance to all parties, stating it is a grievance, what it is about, etc. In the grievance, include the fact that you never received the requested the policy and procedure information from HR, the date you called and emailed your request, and include that as a part of your grievance too.

Acosta is a good place to work if you are bored and have nothing else to do and are not dependent on an income to live.
